Hope's Healthy Habits Community
“A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” Ecclesiastes 4:12
Our lives and bodies are a gift from God and we want to use them for His glory. That’s why we’re starting H3C, a community focused on fostering healthy habits guided by the Holy Spirit, leading to lives of abundance (You + H3C + Holy Spirit).
H3C will provide encouragement and support through weekly messages, a dedicated Facebook group, and monthly events promoting healthy practices. Together, we’ll celebrate the victories and cheer you through the struggles.
Consider joining Hope’s Health Habits Community by taking part in one of the following challenges. Together, let’s live abundant lives for the glory of God – body, mind, and soul!

Weight Loss Challenge
January 15th through April 20th
Healthy Habits can start anywhere, but for many, weight loss is both a goal and struggle. You are not alone!
Introducing the H3C Weight Loss Challenge—a spirited $25 buy-in competition between Men and Women. Through biweekly weigh-ins, participants will engage in friendly competition, striving to achieve the highest body fat percentage loss. Prizes await the overall male and female winners, and the victorious team will enjoy the privilege of choosing a delightful outing or event funded by the collective buy-in money.
To take part in this challenge, participants will submit their body fat percentage to Amanda Wagoner (girls) or Christian Williams (for guys).
Participants must submit measurmes between January 15th and January 21st. Subsequent weigh-ins will be reported biweekly (1st-3rd and 15th-17th).
No access to a scale that provides body fat percentage? Not to worry! Numerous options are currently on sale on Amazon (Here’s one for less than $20!). These scales come with a handy app for tracking progress with various measurements.
However, purchasing a scale is not mandatory to participate. A scale will be available at the church for your use as needed.
New Habits Challenge
January 15th through April 20th
If your focus for 2024 is not centered on weight loss but rather on cultivating new, healthy habits, then this challenge is for you.
For a $10 buy-in, join our community and receive accountability and support. This challenge empowers you to set and define your unique goal. To ensure effectiveness, goals must be specific and measurable, providing a clear standard for accountability.
For example, if you aim to be more active, set a measurable goal such as walking for 20 minutes five days a week. If you’re looking to reduce social media intake, limit yourself to 20 minutes a day.
Participants will report their progress each week to Christian (guys) or Amanda (girls), allowing them to share achievements and provide encouragement within the H3C group.
By participating in this challenge, you gain access to the H3C Facebook group, receive weekly texts/emails, and can attend monthly events designed to foster healthy practices.
